Lenny Scheuermann,
Executive Director and Head Teaching Professional, is a world-class teaching professional who has coached several world-ranked players including Elise Burgin and JoAnn Russell, former Wimbledon doubles champion. Lenny has been a registered professional since 1973 with the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) and is also a member of the United States Professional Tennis Registry (USPTR). He is the President and Founder of The Tennis Institute, Inc. as well as CEO of Motivation America, Inc.

Thiha Htwar
Thiha Htwar is the Vice President of the Tennis Institute, as well
as the Director of Operations/Organization and a USPTA member.
He has been with The Tennis Institute as a teaching professional
and program director since 1986. Formerly from Rangoon,
Burma, Thiha is a graduate of Towson State University. He played
for UMBC and Towson, ranking as high as #2 in Singles and #1 in
Doubles. Thiha was ranked in the top 10 Junior Players and top
10 Men in Maryland. He was ranked #3 in Men’s doubles.

Keith Puryear
Advanced Player Program Director, registered United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) professional has been with The Tennis Institute since 1990. Keith was named Head Coach of Womens Tennis at the US Naval Academy in October 2008. Previously, Keith was the mens' and womens' tennis coach at University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
Keith has won 443 matches and 10 conference coach-of-the-year honors over the last decade as the head men's and women's coach at UMBC. His men's teams have appeared in five NCAA Tournaments (2000-2003, 2007), while the women have also made five trips (1999-2003) to the NCAA tournament.

Matt Lennox
A registered United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) professional and teaching pro since 1997. Matt enjoys working with players striving to improve their tournament play, but he also is very good with intermediates and beginners. Matt is still active in USTA competition having ranked #1 in USTA Mid Atlantic 30's Singles and Open Doubles.

Kristin Messmer
A USPTR certified teaching pro working at the Tennis Institute since 2008. Kristin is an ITF Pro Circuit player and was ranked number 1 in Maryland in 2007. A 2007 Ohio State University graduate where she was a four year scholarship varsity player in both singles and doubles, Kristin has the recent competitive experience to improve a students power game.

Jason Goldman-Petri
A registered United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) professional and teaching pro since 2003. Jason is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University with a degree in psychology. He has coached at several local prep schools and currently coaches the Stevenson University men's and women's tennis teams.
